Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Management

Get ready to be a leader in business.

The Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Management (AM BAS) is a two-year program designed to enhance students' technical skills so they can move up in their careers. Graduates will be prepared with applied management skills and expertise to meet industry demand.

Students can choose from three career-boosting specializations:

  • Project Management (beginning Fall 2019);
  • Human Resource Management (beginning Fall 2020); and
  • Entrepreneurial Leadership (This track has a tentative start date of Fall 2021 and a final decision on the start date will be made at a later date.). 

This degree is the first of its kind in Pierce County. Hybrid classes (part in class/part online) meet Tuesdays, Thursdays, and alternate Saturdays. A full-time student can complete the degree program in 2 years. A new cohort of 20 students begins every Fall. Part-time students are welcome.

Who Can Apply?

Students and working professionals who have earned an associate's degree or earned 90 college-level credits. Students currently completing an associate's degree are welcome to apply and may be conditionally accepted.

 Ready to Apply?

The fall 2020 cohort for Applied Management is full. Applicants will be notified by November 2, 2020 of the status of their application. Applications can still be submitted for review for future cohorts.

Once you begin the application you will not be able to save or leave. Please have the following required items available to upload into your application:

  1. Resume
  2. Unofficial Transcripts from all prior colleges attended
  3. Admission Virtual Information Session Certificate
  4. Industry Credentials (if applicable)
  5. Industry Licenses (if applicable)

Career Outcomes


This program is open to students who either have earned: 

  • 90 college-level credits 
  • Associate of Applied Science
  • Any other associate degrees

If you do not have enough college-level credits or hold an associate's degree, you can take the prerequisite courses at TCC. Work with your advisor to ensure you are on the right pathway for this degree. Application requirements are: 

  • Students must be in good standing with their current or previous colleges.
  • Hold an associate degree or have earned 90 equivalent credits from an accredited institution with a cumulative GPA of 2.5, with minimum of 2.0 in applicable college-level courses
  • Taken and passed English 101 or with a grade C or higher
  • Hold a 2.5 minimum GPA, with completion of college business math or higher
  • Completion of Excel 2 with a B or better or Excel 2016 or 2019 Core Level MOS certification
